An entrepreneurial mind-set doesn’t stop at the Dutch border. Quente intends to learn from international experience and shares good practices from the Netherlands internationally, in order to foster and stimulate entrepreneurial behaviour. As such, Quente has implemented several international projects.

“Recognising and fostering entrepreneurial competence of micro-credit clients”, UniCredit Bank, Ghana, 2012, funded by NUFFIC
The training raised advance attention to entrepreneurship indicators in micro credit schemes through recognition and fostering of entrepreneurial competence of borrowers. Participants learned three models for entrepreneurship (theory of planned behaviour, opportunity model, Amsterdam-Giessen model) and learned to apply criteria from theory to their working practices.

In this project, individual, entrepreneurial skills were measured through an entrepreneurship e-scan, which is the basis for awareness, further growth and development of entrepreneurial competence on individual level. The Canvas business model, Canvas strategy, Value Proposition Canvas and partnership canvas were used to develop good value propositions and to understand the needs of a customer and to focus services for for the new organisation Youth Agri-food business Network (YAN). In order to make YAN a professional organisation, a strong team is necessary, which includes a comprehensive set of teamroles, indicated in a Belbin test and exploring team theories and developing team action plans. Moreover an organizational action plan was developed as part of this training.
